There were so many museums that i decided to skip them and come back another day, this vist was just to soak up some atmosphere and get a feel for the place. There is also a zoo which i was really tempted to go inside for about ¥600 or £4.
Ueno wasn't a quite park, it seamed very active, with people stroling around, and lots of entertainers in the X-road at the centre. I watched some young kids do some crazy stuff with yo-yo's and a band was playing opposite which attracted more of the older generation.
Whilst walking around I saw one performer with a fan, all on her own she was dancing away to him, i thought this was pritty cool. I would be far to self concious to dance with a group of people, let alone on my own, but she seamed to just go with it and was having fun. I magical moment was when a small girl ran off from her mum, and joined the woman dancing in duo.
I managed to get a small clip of this, i sat down and listen to his music, was really relaxing.

The park wasn't really open if you looked down the park trees cut your view and made smaller areas within the park, but looking down the 2 long paths with met in the middle you could see quite far down
crappy angle but i cought this on the sly as i passed,
In Tokyo i have only really seen afew homeless people and like in england they usually just keep their heads down and keep out of the way. Ueno Park has a large number of homeless people, mostly middle aged men, who were probably once business men and times got hard. As i past these two snapped this frame. On the way back they were really shouting at each other, but i was unable to understand. They caused a lot of attention everyone was looking. I like how they have the cat with them, in Japan there are wild cats. I should know i hear the buggers every morning at about 7am screeching. Around where i live they keep bottles of water outside the house's near plants to try keep wild cats away. The story goes that the water shows the cats their own reflections which scares them away. The first night i was in Japan Eam told me they were for thirsty travelers like me. I was pritty thirsty, but he was laughing so i knew something was up.
the south end of the park had a large pond, and some temples. Everything looked dead, as it was winter, i bet the park is even more enjoyable in summer. It was not even cold tho, was walking around in my T-Shirt (haha poor sukas in england :P)
probs my fav photo i have taken to date, in terms of capturing a moment of Japanese life
this was the view looking down from the park, such a crazy contrast!
This is a photo of the woman and girl dancing together, i tried to get the musician in the middle.
this looked amazing, the trees all grew in a line bending in towards each other. This will look its most impressive when the cherry blossom's are blooming
some crazy ball by one of the museum
this was my lunch, i forgot the name of them now, but they are like bread dumplings with a filling which is best described as like the filling of a cornish pasty. very tasty when fresh! i had 2 cos i was hungry :)
branches bending over head
After checking out the park i went back to Akiba again. I have to go there when traveling home, so i decided to go out and have a proper look around by myself. Eam only showed me the main streets, but the side streets were just as good. A lot of the hardcore PC stuff is down in the side streets so i had a good butchers around. Its dangerous living so close!
I then went go get myself a PSP as Charlie sorted me out with a copy of monster hunter, i got a girly crystal white colour. But i was told to get a rare colour as i would most likely sell it on later, after checking out 'munter' aka monster hunter
